MACON – Venice Leon “Vennie” Carroll, 79, of Sgoda Rd., passed away July 31, 2025 at his residence.

Services will be held Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 2:00PM, at Stone Creek Baptist Church. Burial with Military Honors will be in the church cemetery.

Dr. Richard McNair will officiate.

Mr. Carroll was born in Chattanooga, TN the son of the late Lee C. Carroll, Jr. and Gertrude Vinnie Gibbons Carroll. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard Carroll and Jimmy Carroll. “Vennie” was a Minister of the Gospel with the Pentecostal Church. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Bennington during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his Wife, Darthy Tatum Carroll. His Son, Duane Carroll. Two Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM in the church before services on Wednesday.
