Vivian Youmans Bell JEFFERSONVILLE - Vivian Youmans Bell, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother died February 22, 2020 after battling dementia for several years. She was 86. Services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Reece Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Hamrick will officiate. The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. before the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Vivian was born on November 23, 1933 in Emanuel County, the daughter of the late Preston and Kate Deriso Youmans. She moved to Jeffersonville in 1956 after marrying her husband, Aubrey, of almost fifty-two years. Vivian lived there until 2016, before moving to assisted living in Dublin and later to Dublinair Nursing Home. Her career included 8 years in the Procurement Office of Robins Air Force Base, part-time secretary of the Circuit Probate Office in Jeffersonville and the first secretary of the Twiggs County Farm Bureau. Afterwards, Vivian worked as the Administrative Assistant of Nord Kaolin Company in Jeffersonville until retiring in 1997. After retirement she volunteered in the Gift Connection of Houston Medical Center for 5 years and managed the Bell Farm and restoration of her husband’s childhood home. An active member of Jeffersonville Baptist Church for over 40 years until 1999, she served the last 12 years as church hostess. Vivian is predeceased by her husband, Aubrey, three brothers, Dr. Hubert Youmans, Dafford Youmans and Shelton Youmans; two sisters, Dillie Y. Long and Dorothy Y. Davis. Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Bell Lake (Tim) and two grandsons, Timothy and Aubrey Lake, one sister in law, four nieces and two nephews. Pallbearers will be Timothy Lake, Jr., Aubrey Lake, Eddie Self, Darren Bridges, Van Watson, Steve Brantley, and Harold Reece, Jr. Donations in memory of Vivian can be made to Serenity Hospice, 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, GA 31021 or First United Methodist Church, 305 West Gaines Street, Dublin, GA 31021.
