Walter Nels Hellstrom, Jr. UNADILLA, GA – Walter Nels Hellstrom, Jr., 79, of Azalea Dr., passed away Tuesday October 5, 2021, in Macon, GA. Services will be private. Mr. Hellstrom was born in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Walter N. Hellstrom, Sr. and Violet Barry Hellstrom. He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Uhlich. Mr. Hellstrom was a former Chief of Police of East Peoria, Illinois, and Bartonville, Illinois. Survivors include his wife Carol Barnett Hellstrom. Children, Wally Hellstrom, Eric (Radha) Hellstrom, Sten Hellstrom, Jackie (Larry) Stevens, and Christine Hellstrom. Eleven Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren also survive.
