Warren Bradford “Barry” Huffman, Sr. RINEYVILLE, KY - Warren Bradford Huffman Sr. , ( Barry ) age 62, passed away on January 15, 2021, at the VA Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Barry was a career soldier, a husband, a father, a grandfather, an uncle, a brother- in -law, and a friend to many. His accomplishments were numerous, he was especially proud of his 20 years as an active-duty Army Master Sargeant (MSG) and his years of contract work in South Sudan . He was known in his close circle of friends as a "mans' man". During his time in the Army he was a member of the Armys' Elite Marksmanship Unit (AMU) as a competition pistol shooter where he competed in the National Championships at Camp Perry, Ohio. He was also a Master Fitness Trainer for the US Army. Following combat in Iraq, Barry was inducted into the Army's Calvary Order of the Spur. Barry was also the Co-founder of the South Georgia Grey Beards Association. He grew up in rural Jeffersonville, Georgia with his mother, father, and 2 brothers. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and one of his brothers. He is survived by his spouse of 33 years, Sheryl, his 3 children, Brad, Rachel, and Lauren and his 4 grandchildren Ava, Victoria, Gabriel, and Donald. He is also survived by his brother Wade and his dear companion, his dog Scout. There will be a viewing and visitation at Reece Funeral Home, 15548 US Hwy 80, Jeffersonville, GA, 31044 on Saturday, January 23rd, from 11am-1pm with a graveside service to follow at the Huffman Family Cemetery.
