William Harley (Bill) Mercer, Jr.

JEFFERSONVILLE – William Harley (Bill) Mercer, Jr., 78, of Hwy 80 passed away October 14, 2017 in Macon. Services will be held Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 1100AM in Reece Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Jeffersonville City Cemetery. Rev. Rex Odom will officiate. Mr. Mercer was born in Twiggs County, the son of the late William H. and Selma Hamrick Mercer. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Mercer, and by his Sisters, Harriet Mercer and Mildred Mercer Futch. Bill was a retired Shipping Supervisor with Freeport Kaolin in Gordon, GA. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam, and was a member of the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Agnes M. Mercer. Children, Jerry Brooks, Rhonda Chambers, Billy Mercer, and Beth (Butch) Bloodworth. Sisters, Helen Watson, Patti (W.M.) Foster, and Ophelia Paulk. Brother, Garner Mercer. Nine Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday in the funeral home. Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville has charge of arrangements
